Interactive sporting apparatus comprising a plurality of remote units wherein the remote units have a base and an interface for demountably retaining a signalling device 62 or a sensor 54 operable by a game participant close to the remote unit, a plurality of exchangeable sensors 54 of different types at least one of which is remotely operable and a control unit operable to communicate with the remote units to specify sensory stimuli to be generated by one or more remote units. Different types of signalling device 62 may also be provided. The device may be arranged to store performance data for wireless communication to a computer. The remote units may be arranged to interact differently with a participant and they may be labelled differently. Unique identifying tags may be used. In use a participant moves to a remote unit to activate a proximity sensor before moving on to the next one. |
