PURPOSE: A character input method using a software keyboard is provided to implement a faster character input by converting a combination of pressing an individual character key and the number of pressing a function key into a double vowel. CONSTITUTION: When a consonant and a vowel assigned for each character key are pressed sequentially, an initial consonant, a medial vowel, and a final consonant are combined and inputted. A combination of pressing a single vowel and the number of pressing a function key is converted into a double vowel character. The function key includes a backspace key prepared on the upper right, a mode key on the second row, a number and symbol key on the third row, a special key on the fourth row, and an enter key.
