A magnetic tape cartridge including a reel and a pack of magnetic tape wound onto the reel, the magnetic tape includes an aromatic polyamide support and has a thickness of from 3.5 to 5.5 mum and a length of 1000 m or more, and a difference in tape thickness produced between an outer and an inner winding of the tape pack after 2-week storage of the cartridge in a dry environment at 60° C. is 60 nm or smaller.
