<p>PURPOSE: A method for sensing and combining channels between heterogeneous networks and a device therefor are provided to confirm whether a used channel is a single channel or a combination channel. CONSTITUTION: If a signal having a size greater than a set RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) is sensed from a corresponding channel, a terminal determines the use of the corresponding channel(202,204). If the channel is being used, the terminal checks a frequency forming a peak value having the strongest signal strength through the frequency conversion of the received signal(208). If a difference between the peak value frequency and a center frequency is smaller than a set threshold value, the terminal determines the channel as a single channel(210). Otherwise, the terminal determines the channel as a combination channel(212).
