PURPOSE: A novel 5,6-dihydro-pyrrolo[3,4-b]pyridine-7-one derivative is provided to treat or prevent diseases caused by binding MCH receptor-1 to MCH receptor-1 receptor. CONSTITUTION: A 5,6-dihydro-pyrrolo[3,4-b]pyridine-7-one derivative is denoted by chemical formula 1. A method for preparing the derivative comprises a step of coupling boronic acid compound of chemical formula 2 or boronic acid pinacol ester compound of chemical formula 3 with a compound of chemical formula 4 under the presence of a catalyst.
