METHOD OF FABRICATING LIGHTWEIGHT AND THIN LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A method of fabricating a lightweight and thin liquid crystal display device is provided to easily attach or detach an assistant substrate to or from a thin glass substrate using an edge cut. CONSTITUTION: A first mother substrate(301), a sub substrate(310), and a thin second mother substrate are provided. Edge cuts are formed by cutting edges of the first mother substrate(301), the assistant substrate(310), and the thin second mother substrate at an inclined angle. The first mother substrate is processed by an array process, and then the assistant substrate is attached to the second mother substrate. The second mother substrate is processed by a color filter process, and the first and second mother substrates are attached to each other. Air is sprayed between the second mother substrate and the assistant substrate, so that the assistant substrate is separated from the first and second mother substrates.
