PURPOSE: A document linking system for providing a document link service and a linkable advertisement which are linkable with a document stored on a cloud-based clipboard and a method thereof are provided to expand a copy-and-paste concept to a cloud-based concept, thereby allowing users to store information in a clipboard on a cloud and to use the stored information regardless of device, place, and time. CONSTITUTION: A providing unit(240) of a document linking system provides a list of first documents and a list of second services which are linkable with the first documents to a second device if an access to a clipboard in which the first documents are stored is requested through the second device. The first documents are related to first services which are provided through a first device. The providing unit provides a second document which is related to the second service to the second device if the second service is selected from the list of second services.
