AUTONOMOUS MOBILE ROBOT AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An autonomous mobile robot and a driving method thereof are provided to avoid an obstacle by accurately detecting the obstacle on a driving route in high speed driving even if comprising a two dimensional laser scanner. CONSTITUTION: An autonomous mobile robot(100) comprises a laser support stand(140) and a control unit(110). The laser support stand is installed on an upper part of a front side of the mobile robot and detects an obstacle in front of the mobile robot. The control unit controls the angle for nodding a laser scanner(130) according to braking distance of the mobile robot when the mobile robot drives.
