START CONTROL DEVICE OF COMPRESSION SELF-IGNITION TYPE ENGINE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start control device of a compression self-ignition type engine that increases the opportunity of a rapid engine restart by one compression starting.

SOLUTION: This start control device includes an ECU 50 for controlling an intake throttle valve 30 so that the inflow air amount in an intake process of a compression-process cylinder during shut down is larger than that of an expansion-process cylinder during shut down. The ECU 50 increases the opening of the intake throttle valve 30 in the intake process of the cylinder as the engine speed in the intake process of the compression-process cylinder during shut down increases.
