摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical turbo chiller configured to prevent a large amount of refrigerant from being discharged by detecting refrigerant leakage early in its initial stage and to reduce the amount of a refrigerant to be recharged. <P>SOLUTION: Pipe joint groups 23 to 26 provided in refrigerant cooling pipe systems 13 to 16 and lubricant pipe systems connected to a turbo compressor 2 and a motor 3, as well as a joint group 28 of various replacement components 27 provided in the pipe systems, are arranged in a concentrated manner. At least one refrigerant detection sensor 32 is arranged below the concentrated arrangement region 30 of the joint groups 23 to 28 and at a predetermined point at which a slight amount of refrigerant leaking from each of the joint groups 23 to 28 flows downward, distributed and stagnates at a high concentration, to detect the slight amount of refrigerant leaked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
