A device for electroslag heating of metals, in particular for electroslag preheating of ingot top, consists of column, electrode holder with graphite electrode, mechanism of electrode moving, power source (transformer) connected to electrode by current leads. All units, mechanisms and power sources are placed on the one portable platform which consists of frame, power supply connected to electrodes by current leads and also hopper for slag-forming and alloying components are placed on frame, and cover thermally insulated inside, on which in its center is mounted with column with guides and moving units of electrodes. |
