PURPOSE: A device to open a console box for a vehicle by sliding is provided to improve the convenience of a user by automatically closing an arm rest and by relatively lowering the height of the opened arm rest when opening a console body. CONSTITUTION: A device to open a console box for a vehicle by sliding comprises a console body(200) and an arm rest(100). The arm rest includes an arm rest lower unit, an arm rest upper unit, and a center hook. The arm rest lower unit is rotatably installed to the opening direction of the console body. The arm rest upper unit is installed to be slid on an upper part of the arm rest lower unit. The center hook locks the arm rest upper unit which slides to the opening direction and is connected to be integrally rotated with the arm rest lower unit.
