<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component capable of reducing projection of an end of a coil from an end face. <P>SOLUTION: A laminate 12 is manufactured by a first magnetic material having a first shrinkage ratio during firing, and a second magnetic material having a second shrinkage ratio smaller than the first shrinkage ratio. A coil L is made of a metallic wire embedded in the laminate 12, and is exposed from the laminate 12 at ends ta, tb. External electrodes 14a, 14b cover the ends ta, tb.
