<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of throughput due to interference in a case where resources, that can be used when non-transmission periods become excessive due to the excess or shortage of the non-transmission periods, unnecessarily reduce to cause the deterioration of throughput, resulting in shortage of non-transmission periods, in a radio system which avoids interference among cells by providing a certain base station with a non-transmission period. <P>SOLUTION: A radio system is related to avoiding interference by providing a certain base station (a first base station) with a non-transmission period by means of coordination among base stations. Another base station (a second base station) detects the number of subordinate terminals under influence of interference from the first base station that has set a non-transmission period, calculates the necessary non-transmission section so that the necessary non-transmission period increases with the number of terminals existing on a cell edge, and notifies the first base station of the calculation result. The first base station that has set a non-transmission period determines whether an improvement in the throughput of the entire system can be expected on the basis of plural pieces of notification information and adjusts a length of the non-transmission period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
