<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harmful substance adsorbent efficiently adsorbing and insolubilizing a harmful substance, and a method of producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: As the harmful substance adsorbent, the adsorbent including anhydrous iron oxide containing zirconium and manganese is used. Also, the harmful substance adsorbent is produced by neutralizing a solution containing an iron compound, a zirconium compound and a manganese compound at a temperature ranging from 30 to 80°C and at a pH ranging from 5.5 to 8.0 and oxidizing the neutralized solution thereby generating the anhydrous iron oxide containing zirconium and manganese, and then subjecting obtained anhydrous iron oxide to solid-liquid separation. The harmful substance adsorbent has high adsorption ability for harmful substances, particularly fluorine. Water and soil, etc., contaminated by the harmful substances such as fluorine are effectively cleaned using the harmful substance adsorbent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
