<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of properly displaying an image with high brightness. <P>SOLUTION: The display device comprises: a display surface formed by pixels including aperture sub-pixels having a color filter with an aperture formed, non-aperture sub-pixels having a color filter without the aperture, liquid crystals driven according to a brightness set for each of the aperture sub-pixel and the non-aperture sub-pixel; an input part for inputting a video signal defining a video to be displayed in the display part; a signal generation part for generating a brightness signal defining a brightness of the aperture sub-pixels on the basis of the video signal; a detection part for detecting a variation degree in response to a variation between frame images of the video on the basis of the video signal; and an adjustment part for adjusting the brightness of the aperture sub-pixels defined by the brightness signal on the basis of the variation degree. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
