<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing beta-zeolite with a high Si/Al ratio without destroying a crystal structure of zeolite. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing beta-zeolite, the beta-zeolite with a heightened Si/Al ratio is obtained by transforming a raw material beta-zeolite into an ammonium-type beta-zeolite via ion exchange, subsequently exposing the resultant beta-zeolite to water vapor, and then subjecting the beta-zeolite after exposure to a treatment with an acid.
