<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of transportation accuracy of a recording medium by reducing or eliminating deflection of a transporting roller transporting the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A recording apparatus 1 includes a paper transporting mechanism transporting the recording medium to the transporting direction and a transportation control unit controlling the paper transporting mechanism, the paper transporting mechanism includes a first transporting means 10 on the upstream side in the transportation direction of a recording head 31, a second transporting means 20 on the downstream side in the transportation direction of the recording head, a driving means 51 driving the first transporting means 10, and a drive force blocking means 55a arranged on a driving path that transmits the drive force of the driving means 51, and the transportation control unit is configured to transport the recording medium to the direction opposite to the transportation direction by the first transporting means 10 immediately before an end on the upstream side in the transportation direction of the recording medium passes the first transporting means 10 when the recording medium is transported in the transportation direction by the first and second transporting means 10, 20 and to apply a drive force of a value equal to or greater than that set beforehand to the drive force blocking means 55a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
