<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent use of a wrong charger and falling off of an adapter from a power tool despite the intention of a worker, when using the adapter. <P>SOLUTION: An adapter for mounting a battery pack 24 is interposed between the power tool 10 and the battery pack 44. The power tool 10 and the battery pack 44 are detachable by tool-side lock means 28 and battery-side lock means 48, respectively.
