<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect mosquito noise with sufficient accuracy in an image processor that processes image data irreversibly compressed. <P>SOLUTION: A compound machine 1 having an image processing function sequentially selects pixel data included in image data, and executes: a brightness determination process of determining whether a background color of a search area that is determined from the brightness components of a plurality of pixel data included in the search area having the selected pixel data as a center is a white background having the density equal to or lower than a predetermined level (S4); a color difference determination process of determining whether there is variation in the color difference components of the plurality of pixel data included in the search area (S8, S14); and a noise detection process of detecting mosquito noise, if any, in the selected pixel data if it is determined by the brightness determination process that the plurality of pixel data included in the search area are white backgrounds and if it is determined by the color difference determination process that there is variation (S10, S18). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
