<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger in which a grid electrode and a discharge wire can be satisfactorily cleaned. <P>SOLUTION: A cleaning member 109 includes an operation part 110, a connection part 112, and a holding part 113. A contact member 150 formed of a PET film or the like is held by the holding part 113.
