<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device configured to stably obtain appropriate contact pressure, not too large but not too small, between a cleaning roller and an intermediate transfer belt, while using components with realistic dimensional accuracy for the cleaning roller and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes an intermediate transfer belt 3 and a belt cleaning part 4 therefor. The belt cleaning part 4 includes: a cleaning roller 42, which is formed of a foamed material 46, in contact with a toner image carrying surface of the intermediate transfer belt 3 to perform counter rotation as the intermediate transfer belt 3 moves; a backup member 44 in contact with a non-toner-image carrying surface of the intermediate transfer belt 3; and an elastic member 49 for pressing at least one of the cleaning roller 42 and the backup member 44 to the other. The pressing force of the elastic member 49 attains an excellent contact condition between the cleaning roller 42 and the intermediate transfer belt 3, regardless of swinging accuracy of the cleaning roller 42 and the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
