<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device capable of achieving cost and size reductions by eliminating use of a high cost and large reactor, such as a buffer reactor. <P>SOLUTION: The power conversion device includes: a plurality of switching elements 21u, 21x that converts between DC and AC by switching; a unity unit C including the switching elements 21u, 21x and a capacitor 30; and unit arms 10P, 10N including at least the one unity unit C.
