<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize ignition timing control of each cylinder during idling driving. <P>SOLUTION: A deviation between a target crank angle and peak timing of combustion pressure, detected based on an ion current, of each cylinder is computed, and feedback correction (advance correction or retard correction) for reducing the deviation is added to ignition timing of the cylinder in order to determine the ignition timing at the time of the next combustion in each cylinder. As a result, although the ignition timing in each cylinder is different from each other, the peak of the combustion pressure in each cylinder is aligned with the target crank angle, thereby suppressing an inter-cylinder variation in rotational speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
