<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recorder capable of preventing mixture in colors in ejection ports in respective areas. <P>SOLUTION: A printer includes: a head 1 for ejecting inks of two colors; a wiping mechanism 50 including two wipers 51a and 51b for wiping an ejection surface 1a; a pump for performing purging operation of emitting the ink; and a control part for controlling these sections. In the ejection surface 1a, an ejection area 91 and an ejection area 92 for ejecting an ink of different color from the ink ejected from the ejection area 91 are defined. The control part selectively performs first wiping operation for emitting the ink from the ejection area 91 and thereafter moving the wiper 51a to transverse from the ejection area 92 side across the ejection area 91 and second wiping operation for emitting the ink from the ejection area 92 and thereafter moving the wiper 51b to transverse from the ejection area 91 side across the ejection area 92. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
