<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wiping performance from decreasing by preventing a liquid from sticking on a wiper having been cleaned again. <P>SOLUTION: A control means of an ink jet printer 10 controls a moving means to move a first wiper 80a in contact with an ink receiving surface 28 from a first wiping start position P1 to a first wiping end position P2 from the first wiping end position P2 to a wiper cleaning position P3, and from the wiper cleaning position P3 to the first wiping start position P1. The wiper cleaning position P3 is arranged in a predetermined direction together with the first wiping start position P1 and first wiping end position P2, and located at an opposite side to the first wiping end position P2 with respect to the first wiping start position P1, and a distance from the first wiping start position P1 is shorter than a distance from the first wiping end position P2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
