<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating a groove bottom crack resistance performance of a tread groove by using a test piece of which the structure is simplified. <P>SOLUTION: A method for evaluating a groove bottom crack resistance performance of a tread groove 4 provided on a tread rubber 2 of a tire 1 includes a test piece making step of making a test piece 3 in which the tread groove 4 is formed; and a test step of performing a groove bottom crack resistance performance test using the test piece 3.
