<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of improving efficiency and reliability even in any of a natural circulation operation and a forced circulation operation. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner can be operated by switching two operations: a refrigeration cycle operation based on forced circulation in which a compressor 1, a condenser 3 and an evaporator 7 are successively connected by piping to forcibly circulate a refrigerant; and a refrigeration cycle operation based on natural circulation in which an evaporator and a condenser arranged at a position higher than that of the evaporator are connected by a liquid-side connection pipeline 5 and a gas side connection pipeline 8 to naturally circulate the refrigerant. The air conditioner includes a bypass pipeline 30 for connecting the liquid-side connection pipeline and the gas-side connection pipeline, a refrigerant storage 10 arranged on the bypass pipeline, a liquid-side opening/closing valve 27 attached to the liquid-side connection pipeline side of the refrigerant storage, and a gas-side opening/closing valve 26 attached to the gas-side connection pipeline side of the refrigerant storage. The air conditioner adjusts an amount of the refrigerant circulating in a refrigeration cycle by injecting and ejecting the refrigerant circulating in the refrigeration cycle into/from the refrigerant storage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
