TRANSISTOR, DISPLAY DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transistor which can be manufactured at high yield, and provide a display device and an electronic device.

SOLUTION: A transistor comprises: a gate electrode; a semiconductor layer opposed to the gate electrode across an insulation layer; a pair pf source/drain electrodes electrically connected to the semiconductor layer; and contact layers provided in a carrier transfer pathway between each of the pair of source/drain electrodes and the semiconductor layer, with end faces being covered with the source/drain layers.
