摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly efficiently recover iridium from iridium and ruthenium adsorbed by activated carbon available at a relatively low cost, upon purifying/recovering iridium. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method of recovering iridium comprising purifying/recovering iridium from iridium and ruthenium adsorbed by activated carbon, which method includes an incineration process (S1) of incinerating activated carbon having adsorbed iridium and ruthenium, a chloride volatilization process (S2) of removing impurities from the incineration ash obtained in the incineration process (S1) by chloride volatilization, a water soluble salt conversion process (S3) of converting iridium/ruthenium in the residue of chloride volatilization to water soluble salts, a leaching process (S4) of leaching iridium and ruthenium using water from the salts obtained by the water soluble salt conversion process (S3), a ruthenium distillation process (S5) of distilling and removing ruthenium from a water-leaching liquid obtained by the leaching process (S4), and a crystallizing process (S6) of crystallizing iridium in the distillation liquid residue obtained by the ruthenium distillation process (S5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
