<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deformation of a casing due to an elastic member for sealing a gap between a casing of an optical scanner and a cover member. <P>SOLUTION: The optical scanner 40 includes: a casing 85 for housing a light source 47, a light deflector 41, and optical members 60, 61, 62; a cover member 70 to be attached to a side wall 85s of the casing in order to protect the light source, light deflector and optical members from dust; and an elastic member 75 having a first contact part 75c attached to the cover member and elastically deformed due to contact with a side wall when the cover member is attached to the casing, and a second contact part 75b arranged along the side wall, with the cover member attached to the side wall, and elastically deformed following deformation of the first contact part to come into contact with the side wall. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
