<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control device for an automatic transmission, in which hydraulic pressure can be supplied smoothly to a high pressure part by normally operating one oil pump, in the hydraulic control device including two oil pumps. <P>SOLUTION: The hydraulic control device includes: an oil tank; a first oil pump which is supplied with oil and forms low pressure; a second oil pump which is supplied with the low pressure and forms high pressure; a torque converter and a lubricating part which are supplied with the low pressure from the first oil pump; a power train which is supplied with the high pressure from the second oil pump; a pump connecting channel which connects the first oil pump and the second oil pump; a first detour channel which supplies hydraulic pressure from the oil tank to the second oil pump while detouring the first oil pump; and a second detour channel which is branched from the pump connecting channel and supplies hydraulic pressure to the power train while detouring the second oil pump.
