PURPOSE: A fuel measuring device and a control method thereof are provided to improve driving performance by properly compensating fuel amount with learning ethanol concentration even when an error occurs in a fuel sensor. CONSTITUTION: A fuel measuring device for variable fuel vehicles comprises a fuel level sensor(110), an oxygen sensor(120), and a control unit(130). The fuel level sensor detects the fuel level of a fuel tank. The oxygen sensor detects oxygen concentration in exhaust gas discharged from an engine. The control unit determines whether or not vehicles need fuel by analyzing the oxygen concentration if errors occur in the fuel level sensor. The control unit performs the learning of ethanol concentration, and performs feed-back control in an air-fuel ratio on the basis of the ethanol concentration.
