PURPOSE: A low nitrogen oxide burner is provided to lower the temperature of a flame and to reduce thermal NOx by combusting with fuel through mixing a part of exhaust gas in a combusting chamber with air for combusting. CONSTITUTION: A low nitrogen oxide burner comprises a burner main body(11), a central nozzle unit(21), an outer blast tube(37), a register(41), and a flow velocity increasing unit(51). The register includes an inlet path(47) and an exhaust path(49). The register is arranged between the outer blast tube and the central nozzle unit. The flow velocity increasing unit has a smaller gap than a gap between the register and the central nozzle unit and increases the flow velocity of air flowing between the register and the central nozzle unit by arranging along the circumference of the central nozzle unit.
