PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement system having high safety and convenience.

SOLUTION: A settlement system SY includes a store terminal 2, a settlement server 3 and a portable device 4. The portable device 4 includes: an input unit 410 for inputting settlement information required for a settlement of a credit card; an encryption unit 420 for encrypting the settlement information; a settlement data storage unit 430 for storing the encryption information in which the settlement information is encrypted and a password for transmitting the encryption information; and an encryption information transmission unit 440 for transmitting the encryption information to the store terminal 2 on condition of inputting the password. The settlement server 3 includes: a decryption unit 320 for decrypting the encryption information acquired via the store terminal 2; a settlement processing unit 330 for performing settlement processing of the credit card on the basis of the decrypted settlement information; and a settlement processing result notification unit 340 for providing a notification of a settlement processing result to the store terminal 2.
