<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting appropriate end-point temperature of converter blowing in a steel making process including converter blowing, secondary refining, and casting steps. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature fall amount of molten steel after ending converter blowing is predicted by using prediction formula of the temperature fall amount of molten steel predetermined per deoxidation form according to the deoxidation form upon tapping of molten steel from the converter. The blowing end-point temperature of the converter blowing is set from the predicted temperature fall amount of molten steel and required temperature of molten steel. The temperature fall amount of molten steel is predicted by preliminarily obtaining a regression coefficient per deoxidation form about a selected operation factor through multiple regression analysis, setting prediction formula using the regression coefficient, and performing calculation using the prediction formula. Therefore, the range of application of the prediction formula is broadened, prediction accuracy is improved, and the production cost is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
