<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of minimizing space required for a stopper means and reducing the size of the image forming apparatus while satisfying requirements for conventional functions. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a paper feeding cassette 2, a paper discharge tray 3, a paper discharge tray rock mechanism, and a stopper mechanism 230A. The stopper mechanism 230A has an engaged stopper member 231A which is arranged inside of the paper feeding cassette 2 so as to move up and down in response to opening and closing of the paper discharge tray 3 and rises from the paper feeding cassette 2 toward the paper discharge tray 3 when the paper discharge tray 3 is opened, and a stopper portion 241A which is arranged in the apparatus body 1 so as to engage with the engaged stopper member 231A inside of the paper feeding cassette 2. In the engaged stopper member 231A, an abut surface 239 to which a stopper portion 241A abuts when the engaged stopper member 231A rises and a guide surface 238 for lifting and lowering the engaged stopper member 231A through engagement with the stopper portion 241A are arranged to be adjacent with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
