<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a multivalent glycidyl compound by oxidizing a multivalent allyl compound by the use of an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizing agent. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes a step of using a multivalent allyl compound possessing three or more allyl groups as a substrate, a step of interrupting the reaction on the way of the epoxidation reaction and removing water in the reaction liquid, and a step of thereafter conducting the epoxidation reaction again. The hydrolysis of the glycidyl group of the reaction intermediate generated along with the course of the reaction is suppressed by removing water in the reaction liquid on the way of the reaction. Preferably the reaction is conducted in the presence of acetonitrile and alcohol. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
