<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closure for optical cable connection that can be downsized and that allows easy orderly arrangement of a fiber optic cable core for distribution and a fiber optic cable core not for distribution, and also easy construction work and maintenance inspection work. <P>SOLUTION: A closure for cable connection 10 includes a cover member having an entry plate 20 at an opening end fitted thereto, and introduction and taking-out of an optical fiber cable and introduction of a drop cable are performed at the entry plate. A tray base 23 is attached to the entry plate 20. A drop tray 30 for housing a drop cable core, a passage cable core tray 40 for housing a passage cable core, and a retention cable core tray 50 for housing a retention cable core are laminated on an upper surface of the tray base. A drop cable holder 60 for holding the drop cable is provided at a tray base wall surface.
