<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost, and to improve a function of a spacer which is mounted by being fitted into a water jacket provided in a cylinder block. <P>SOLUTION: In the cylinder block 1, a loop-shaped water jacket 8 is formed which surrounds a group of cylinder bores 4. A spacer 13 is formed of resin and shaped similarly to the water jacket 8. In a top point 13b and both length terminals 13c of the spacer 13, outward ribs 14 are molded integrally which abut on an outer wall surface 8b of the water jacket 8. The spacer 13 is held firmly to the water jacket 8 by the tension of the outward ribs 14. Since the water jacket spacer is molded integrally as a whole, processing cost can be suppressed and even after continuous use, no member is removed, thereby having high durability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
