<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation type beauty device in which the state of a power supply switch is easily recognized by an operation and an erroneous operation hardly occurs. <P>SOLUTION: The light irradiation type beauty device prevents the hair on a living body surface 9 from being fostered by irradiating the living body surface 9 with light emitted from a light source. The beauty device includes: a light irradiation section 4 for irradiating the living body surface 9 with light; a light irradiation switch 54 for causing the light irradiation section 4 to perform irradiation of light; and a power source switch 78 for switching between the irradiatable state of enabling light irradiation by the light irradiation switch 54 and the nonirradiatable state of precluding the light irradiation by the light irradiation switch 54.
