Disclosed are dried or freeze-dried and/or microencapsulated Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells with a high content of (S)-(+)-S-adenosyl-L-methionine, in the form of a free base obtainable from selected high-productivity strains of (S)-(+)-SAMe.
