METHOD OF PREPARING GENTIO-OLIGOSACCHARIDE OF HIGH PURITY, AND GENTIO-OLIGOSACCHARIDE OBTAINED BY THE SAME, AND USE OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preparing gentio-oligosaccharides of high purity having purity of at least 90% without producing unnecessary by-products.

SOLUTION: There are provided the method of preparing the gentio-oligosaccharides of high purity, the gentio-oligosaccharides of high purity obtained by the method, and the use of the same. The method includes: a step of adding the gentio-oligosaccharide of low purity to a liquid culture medium; a step of inoculating the liquid culture medium with a microorganism followed by incubation and fermentation to consume glucose contained in the gentio-oligosaccharide of low purity; and a step of subjecting the thus obtained fermented broth to filtration and purification.
