<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding system which can correctly measure the thickness of a paper bundle when the paper bundle is clamped to measure the thickness for determining the length of a front cover sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A bookbinding system 100 includes: a matching part 350 which matches multiple sheets of text paper HP to become a text, at the tip part TPT being the edge on the tip side in the conveying direction; a paper bundle thickness detection means which detects the thickness of the tip part TPT by nipping the tip part TPT out of the paper bundle TP matched by the matching part 350; and a front cover appropriate size calculation means which calculates the appropriate size of the front cover sheet FP to become the front cover based on the thickness detected by the paper bundle thickness detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
