<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical gasket combining sealing performance and rigidity and suitably used for an insertion type exhaust pipe joint, and to provide a method for manufacturing the cylindrical gasket, and the insertion type exhaust pipe joint using the cylindrical gasket. <P>SOLUTION: The cylindrical gasket 27 includes a reinforcing material 70 made of compressed strip wire mesh 5; a heat resistant material 71 filled in the meshes of the strip wire mesh 5 of the reinforcing material 70; and pores dispersedly arranged in the reinforcing material 70 and the heat resistant material 71. An inner peripheral surface 23, an outer peripheral surface 24 and annular end faces 25, 26 of the cylindrical gasket 27 are formed as smooth surfaces in which the heat resistant material 71 and the reinforcing material 70 coexist. In the cylindrical gasket 27, the volume content ratio of the reinforcing material 70, heat resistant material 71 and pores is 32-60%, 5-58% and 10-35%, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
