<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting and a terminal fitting-equipped electric wire which allow higher electrical performance and retention force of the electric wire (core wire) at the same time. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal fitting-equipped electric wire 1 comprises: an electric wire 10 having a core wire 11 and an insulation coating 12 covering the core wire 11; and a terminal fitting 20 crimped to a terminal of the electric wire 10. The terminal fitting 20 comprises: a terminal fitting body 21 having a bottom plate 23 on which the core wire 11 of the electric wire 10 is arranged, and a pair of wire barrels 24, 24 which extend from the respective sides of the bottom plate 23 in a direction intersecting an extension direction of the core wire 11 and are crimped while compressing the core wire 11 in such a manner as to be wound around the core wire 11; a second barrel part 32 overlapping a region close to the tip of the core wire 11, in a crimp portion 26 constituted by the pair of wire barrels 24, 24 and a region of the base plate 23 located between the pair of wire barrels 24, 24; and a joint part 31 which connects the second barrel part 32 and the terminal fitting body 21 to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
