<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a thickness of a drum brake. <P>SOLUTION: In a drum brake device, L is a distance from a jack bolt hole 13 to an edge of a hub hole 15 in a normal line direction of the hub hole 15, F is fixing strength generating between a mounting surface 1a and a hub, Z is a cross section coefficient of the mounting surface 1a, i is a circumference ratio as a ratio of a circumference of the hub hole 15 with respect to a diameter of the jack bolt hole 13.
