VEHICLE TRAVEL CONTROL DEVICE USING CAR NAVIGATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that recently there is an increase of accidents such as crashing into a building or resulting in physical injury by stepping on an accelerator instead of a brake in a parking space, and even more vehicles are equipped with a device which automatically stops a vehicle by detecting an obstacle, it cannot sufficiently cope with a situation in which a driver deeply steps on the accelerator instead of the brake.

SOLUTION: A vehicle travel control device using a car navigation system automatically slows down a vehicle in a place close to or inside of a building such as a parking place at which many people pass and vehicles have to slow down, and maintains the slow speed of the vehicle even if a driver excessively steps on an accelerator, so that a vehicle automatic stop device can sufficiently and effectively exert its function.
