<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct oxidation type fuel cell system which maintains an excellent power generation characteristic by preventing a power generation characteristic from deteriorating due to accumulation of water in a fuel cell stack during power generation of a fuel cell system for a long time . <P>SOLUTION: A direct oxidation type fuel cell system comprises: a cathode and anode; a fuel cell stack which is obtained by laminating a plurality of direct oxidation type fuel cells each having a pair of flow paths disposed so as to face the cathode and the anode; a pump for supplying a reaction substance to the fuel cell stack; and state detection means for detecting a water closed state in the flow path of the fuel cell stack. In this fuel cell system, when the state detection means detects the water closed state in the flow path of the fuel cell stack during power generation of the fuel cell stack, a pressure loss is reduced at a section from an exit of the fuel cell stack to a drain hole to ambient air in a path through which the reaction substance flows. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
