摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide peripheral structure of a side frame, configured to enable easy manufacturing, to reduce manufacturing cost, to lower the center of gravity, to improve traveling stability, and to efficiently absorb a longitudinal load. <P>SOLUTION: The peripheral structure of a side frame 6 includes: a transmission 3 disposed in the central portion in a vehicle width direction; a tire 4 outside in the vehicle width direction; a drive shaft 5 connecting the transmission 3 and the tire 4; and a side frame 6 disposed above the drive shaft 5, and extended in a longitudinal direction. The side frame 6 has an inner panel 7 and an outer panel 8 which are joined with each other. The inner panel 7 has an inner part 7a constituting a central end part in the vehicle width direction of the side frame 6, and extended in a vertical direction. The outer panel 8 has: a lower part 8a constituting a lower part of the side frame 6 and extended in the vehicle width direction; and a flange 8b protruded downward from the central end part in the vehicle width direction of the lower part 8a.
